The simple answer for when daylight savings changes in NSW this March or April is:
On Saturday 5th April, before you go to bed, put your clock back one hour
or
change your clock back one hour
when you get up on Sunday morning 6th April 2008.

In June 2007 the Premier, Hon. Morris IEMMA, MP. announced New South Wales (NSW) would alter the usual dates for the start and end of Daylight Savings Time (also known as summertime). The legislation was passed by New South Wales Parliament in October 2007.
The decision was made to
synchronise the beginning and finishing of daylight savings for Australia’s south eastern states and the ACT.

Short notice to implement the changed schedule

This is a relative short timeframe for a change that affects not only clocks on railway stations, town halls and in motor vehicles.
In this the twenty first century 21st century every home and office computer needs to follow the plan and have it’s daylight savings time changed, synchronized, with the other computers, servers and network devices.
For this information sheet I'm ignoring TV’s HDTV Set top boxes, microwave ovens, clock radios.. .. .

Changes to the end of summertime – daylight savings time

Customers’ who do not have windows automatic updates active or who have not selected to automatically update clock for daylight savings changes are likely to have their computer’s clock adjusted by the old daylight savings planned change date on the last Sunday in March, or not changed at all.
Some possible issues may include the need to adjust the clock to the correct time on both the last Sunday in March and again on the first Sunday in April.

 

Oh, and the starting dates change too.

Changes to the beginning or start of summertime – daylight savings time from 2008 will start from the first week in October from 2008.

Quote “Daylight saving for future summers begins at 2 am, Eastern Standard Time, on the first Sunday in October and ends at 3 am summer time on the first Sunday in April.
